So today was my IPHS senior seminar presentation.  Sadly, IPHS is going to be discontinued but for me I feel it has been the most influential department in my Kenyon career.  The fun thing about senior presentation is that they can be pretty much about anything you're passionate about.  Tonight we learned about...

Chinese poetry:  Cat translated a collection of poems by Wang Wei and talked about postmodern translation theory.

Dance:  I choreographed a dance sampling several iconic dance moves from the past decade.

Epic poetry:  Chenery wrote an epic poem based on Madeline L'Engle's book "A Swiftly Tilting Planet"

Playwriting:  Chris wrote and put on a staged reading of a philosophical play about the concept of science.

Foucault:  David made a powerpoint presentation about how Spongebob rewrote Foucault's "Discipline and Punish"

It was really fun learning how we all took out specific majors and connected them to what we had learned throughout our four years in IPHS.  I'm going to miss this concentration and the wide array of students I've met in these classes.

This is how we all felt after completing our presentations.
