A Moving Move-In
I stand with every dad who drives a minivan full of his young adult's belongings to Kenyon with their freshman son, wife and second child.
The surprises for us that day were how the football team took the effort out of the heavy lifting, how helpful my daughter Rose was in unpacking and organizing Tim's drawers and closets, how Walmart must love Kenyon on move-in day, how moving Convocation could be, and how bittersweet a final goodbye can be after 18 years of your son living at home.
