Update on COVID-19 from President Decatur

Office of Communications
March 10, 2020

Dear members of the Kenyon College community,

As expected, the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to shift. Yesterday, three cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Ohio — none associated with Kenyon College, nor linked to community spread within the state. Governor DeWine enacted a state of emergency to ensure that state agencies have necessary resources at their disposal. Some colleges, both in Ohio and farther afield, have announced plans to adjust their operations. We, too, have been making plans to respond to a variety of situations and will release details later this evening about the steps Kenyon is taking.

Please watch your inbox for updates as this situation evolves. We appreciate your patience as we make arrangements that will allow us all to proceed with confidence in uncertain times.

Sincerely,

Sean Decatur
President
