Back in Gambier
It's November, so most of us are now back in the office, and we're all super excited to start reading your applications. Our cars may still be filled with travel brochures and business casual outfits that desperately need a wash, but with the exception of a few trips (and our interview blitzes, coming to a city near you!), we are considering ourselves done with travel. Now that I’m back in Gambier, I get to take advantage of all the things I missed, so I wanted to leave you all with a list of my favorite things to do, which I hope will serve as both a checklist for myself and a list of things to check out if you get to visit later this year.
Our dean of admissions mentioned this in her post earlier, but this area is wonderful for riding your bike. I went on the Gap Trail late last week, and felt like this:
After weeks of airplane coffee, this is typically how I react to getting something from Wiggin Street:
Catching the very last of the falling leaves during a hike at the BFEC before winter sets in:
Finally getting to check out Kenyon's theater/orchestra/choral performances, and having this reaction:
And interacting with Kenyon's wildlife:
But most importantly, I'm excited to be back so I can start reading the applications of all of the cool students I met on the road. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions about applying. And if you visited this season and have other things I should add to my list, let me know in the comments section.
