Jessamyn arrived at Connecticut College the fall of her first year considering herself a soon-to-be declared English major. Yet, in a wonderful liberal arts turn of events, she found there were just too many appealing classes to take outside of the realm of the English department. Four years later, in 2009, she had earned a bachelor's in art history and German studies but, sadly, was never quite able to fit even a single English class into her schedule. Nevertheless, Jess has always loved immersing herself in a good book. After graduating, Jess received a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship Grant and spent a year abroad in Hamburg teaching 5th–10th graders. She spent four years as associate director of admissions at Connecticut College before joining the admissions office at Kenyon.
This is an intimidating post to write, as last year’s 5 Things to Do After You’ve Submitted Your Kenyon Application was seriously on point. So for this round, in order to up the ante, we’re going for lucky number 7 things to do after you’ve applied. Also, please know that this mainly might be a lineup of things I aspire to do once I finish reading your fantastic applications. (Oh, how the tables have turned.)
