We have no clue if the thing we have poured our lives into will be accepted for publication, but right now all we can do is check for typos. The craziest part is that on an author line including many people with doctorates, my name gets to go first.
Around every corner, I found some new delight. I saw Cleveland with Kenyon eyes, and found warmth in an unfamiliar place.
My previous two years at Kenyon gave me the stepping stones to make my way across the Atlantic to Exeter, and I’m so thankful for that. I’ve already felt my independence grow exponentially within the past six weeks, and I’m not even halfway through.
I never thought I’d be writing a love letter to a building. I’m not much of a romantic.
