Do you have any questions for the Kenyon College Office of Admissions? Because we are in the midst of reading applications, it may take us a few days to reply to emails. In the meantime, check out the following frequently asked questions to see if your question has been answered. If you have any other questions, ask away in the comments!

I submitted my Common Application. How can I make sure Kenyon has received all of my application materials?

After submitting your Common Application to Kenyon, you will receive an email from the Office of Admissions with your username and password to access your E-Admissions Account. Through this site, you will be able to check on the status of your application materials.

I submitted my Common Application on or before the Jan. 15 deadline, but will my application still be considered if my other materials arrive later?

Absolutely. We just need to receive your Common Application before or on Jan. 15.

If I applied Early Decision 2, when will I get my decision? What about Regular Decision?

If you applied Early Decision 2, you should expect to hear from us by the beginning of February. Regular Decision students will be notified of their decision at the end of March.

Can I submit extra materials along with my application?

Sure — you can upload extra materials through your status page. If you are uploading an art supplement, please include 10 images of your artwork. Writing supplements should be no more than five pages.

When will I find out about receiving a merit or talent scholarship?

All scholarship recipients will receive their scholarship award along with their acceptance to Kenyon. The only exceptions to this are recipients of talent scholarships in Art, Writing and Music. Winners of these awards will be notified in late March.

My application was deferred from Early Decision. Kenyon is still my top choice. Is there anything else I should do?

Students who were deferred are welcome to send an email to their regional admissions director with any updates since they applied. You do not need to submit any additional writing samples or recommendations.

I want to plan a trip to Kenyon. What dates are available to schedule a visit?

The Office of Admissions is open Monday-Friday for tours, interviews and information sessions. We also offer tours, interviews and information sessions on some Saturdays throughout January and February. On Sundays, we usually offer a 1 p.m. tour that departs from the Kenyon Bookstore.  Check out our online calendar to schedule a visit!  Note that the last day for high school seniors to interview on campus is Monday, Feb. 16. We’ll begin offering interviews to juniors on Monday, March 16.

I will not be able to visit campus by Feb. 16. Is it possible to schedule an alumni interview?

Alumni interviews are available to high school seniors who live outside the state of Ohio. If you submitted your Common Application, you can request an alumni interview online. The last day to request an alumni interview is Wed., January 21.

Is it still possible to schedule an overnight visit?

Overnight visits are only available for high school seniors. Overnight visits are offered on Sunday and Thursday nights, with the last overnight visit on Sunday, Feb. 15. You can schedule your overnight visit through our online calendar.

How do I register for Junior Visit Day?

Junior Visit Day is March 21, and registration is open online.

Can I apply to Kenyon as a transfer student?

If you are enrolled at another college as a degree-seeking student, you are welcome to apply to Kenyon as a transfer student.  The transfer deadline is March, and students can learn more about the transfer admissions process online.
