Class of 2015
Major — Political Science
Hometown — Atlanta
Madeleine is a political science major with a thing for words, bagels and her hometown of Atlanta. She is in a loving, committed relationship with the Kenyon Collegian, of which she is editor-in-chief. She is currently having moderate success training for her first 5K, and she wants to be a journalist when she grows up.
Registration is just around the riverbend, and there are so, so many great classes at Kenyon that I wish I had the time to take. In case you need some ideas of what to take or are looking to venture outside your major, I thought I’d make a list of the three best classes I’ve taken and three that I haven’t taken but think look really interesting.
Last spring I discovered the cure for those unfortunate moments when you have a lot of assigned reading behind you and a lot ahead, and all you really want to do is watch “Parks and Rec” until you pass out. Are you ready? Here it is: Read for fun.
On any given Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon around 4:00 p.m., there’s an office on the third floor of Peirce, all the way at the end of the hall, that’s starting to bustle. This is the office of the Kenyon Collegian, your friendly neighborhood student-run campus newspaper since 1856.
