I’m done with my first week of finals in college! Thankfully, it was not nearly as bad as I was expecting.
Food was a huge concern for me coming into Kenyon. Peirce was a happy revelation. It’s situated in a way where one can easily mix and match different dishes to create wholly unique plates.
I was recently featured in an article about hair in the Collegian Magazine, and so I thought it was a befitting time as any to talk about hair. If you know anything about me at all, you know that I'm a Natural Sista and I looooove talking about my hair. I've only been natural (read: comfortably afro-textured) since May 2, 2012 (read the process of becoming natural on this post). And it’s done me all sorts of wonders!
I didn't realize it was my final Peircegiving until I was halfway through my vegan stuffing. I looked at my plate, the food piled taller that the plate was wide, and realized that this tradition was something I took for granted for so long.
