With spring break coming up, students who choose to remain at Kenyon for the next two weeks might wonder how they will entertain themselves in rural Ohio without an active campus life to keep them busy. Here’s my advice for how to amuse yourself at Kenyon over break.
Coming back from my semester in Russia, I have had a lot of time to reflect on some of the best parts of Kenyon — the parts that make this Hill a real community. Although there are hundreds, I wanted to narrow down my list to a few that really stick out to me and make Kenyon the place that it is.
Food was a huge concern for me coming into Kenyon. Peirce was a happy revelation. It’s situated in a way where one can easily mix and match different dishes to create wholly unique plates.
I didn't realize it was my final Peircegiving until I was halfway through my vegan stuffing. I looked at my plate, the food piled taller that the plate was wide, and realized that this tradition was something I took for granted for so long.
For a school as tiny as Kenyon, we have a surprisingly large variety of late-night food options.
